Christmas TV Party 2014: Cathie Nowicki

Christmas TV Party 2014: Cathie Nowicki

1) What is the first Christmas special you remember watching?

I think it was one of the I Love Lucy Christmas Specials. I believe it was one with Little Ricky.

2) Name one Christmas program/movie you enjoy watching all year round.

I like the musical programs all year round. Lawrence Welk especially.

3) Name one overlooked, or under-appreciated Christmas program.
Gimme A Break after Dolph Sweet passed away, the Christmas special was about the kids losing their father right before Christmas.  I too lost my Father on December 7th 1980, so it was a really special episode for my sister and I.

4) Send us to 3 places on the internet.
Itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com I live on this site. It's my bible for what is coming on TV that I will enjoy.
xmasclock.com it tells me every day how many days left.
And I do have a third which tells you what programs were on TV on any given date, but I can remember the site off the top of my head. :(

The characters of brothers Joey and Wayne (Paul Wittenburg and Randy Travis) appear in several Touched By An Angel Christmas episodes.

5) What are your 3 favorite Christmas episodes of a TV sitcom or drama?
The Brady Bunch Christmas Movie

Any of the Touched By An Angel Christmas episodes that Randy Travis is in, along with the one entitled The Clock and the one with Valerie Bertinelli that I believe is entitled The Christmas Miracle.

And last but not least the Daniel Boone Christmas special which is like the Touched By An Angel one above that a baby is born on Christmas Eve.

There are more, but you asked for three.

    2. Ah, but it also works because you're good enough to host it for us!

  3. Thanks for sharing, Cathie! I really love the Brady Bunch Christmas movie too. It's a bit cheesy, but I watch it every year because it's so fun to see the grown up Brady's come back together for the holidays. Reminds me of my own large family sometimes. With all those dynamics we have our share of drama, but we always had fun at Christmas!

  4. One of the things I love about the Lawrence Welk Christmas episodes are watching each of the Champagne Music Makers' children growing up over the years! Thanks for reminding me about that :D
