Let's play a little game: how many of these Santas can your recognize? For this first quiz, I made it a little easy -- all of these TV characters were previously featured in a blog post sometime earlier this year. Did you know that I have a SEARCH box for my blog, along the right-hand side? Comment below with your guesses on who each Santa is and the title of the episode, special or movie. Show off your Christmas TV knowledge. Good luck!
He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special (1985) |
Barney Fife from the Christmas episode of The Andy Griffith Show. |
Roger Sterling on the 4th season Christmas episode of Mad Men. |
Chandler Bing from the Friends holiday episode "The One With the Holiday Armadillo." |
Bewitched Christmas episode "A Vision of Sugar Plums." |
Golden Girls--1989's "Have Yourself a Very Little Christmas." |
Mr. Woodman from WELCOME BACK KOTTER's 1977 episode "A Sweathog Christmas Special" |
Ernest Borgnine from McHale's Navy |
Alf from 1987's "Alf's Special Christmas." |
Fat Albert from 1977's Fat Albert's Christmas Special. |
Nice, varied batch!
ReplyDeleteYou probably know all of these--you should show off and identify one!
DeleteI did know them all, but didn't want to spoil the fun! :) My favourite is #7, Mr Woodman from Welcome Back Kotter. I love that someone can still be so crotchety in a Santa suit :)
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteKarl Winslow, Mel Sharples, Roseanne Connor, Fish.... Reluctant, crotchety Santas make the best Santas!
Delete#4 is Chandler Bing from the Friends episode "Holiday Armadillo", one of our favorites!
ReplyDeleteI thought that one was hard! Good for you.
Delete#8 - Billy Sands, Ernest Borgnine and a very young Tim Conway in McHale's Navy!
ReplyDelete#1 is He-Man from He-Man and She-Ra: A Christmas Special (1985)
ReplyDelete#2 is Barney Fife (Don Knotts) from The Andy Griffith Show "The Christmas Story" episode!
ReplyDeleteNow we're rolling....
ReplyDelete# 3 is Roger Sterling (John Slattery) from Mad Men (season 4), the episode is entitled "Christmas Comes But Once A Year"
ReplyDelete# 5 is Cecil Kellaway in a 1964 episode of Bewitched which I think is called "A Vision of Sugar Plums". :-)0
ReplyDeleteExcellent--thanks for playing along Mel.
ReplyDelete#6 is Stan Zbornak, Dorothy's ex-husband on the Golden Girls. The other two Golden Girls are (barely) visible in the top right too!
ReplyDeleteYESSS! Thank you for continuing to play along :)
DeleteI don't want to hog them, but I know what it's like to have one or two still hanging on! I run a version of this game on Facebook that runs most of December and by the end I'm just begging people to get rid of the last stragglers ;) And just to help clear off the last couple, #9 is ALF!
DeleteThanks for your help! And thanks to everyone for playing along :D
