  1. So, Tim, I guess you're a fan of MR. MAGOO'S CHRISTMAS CAROL!

Seriously, I love this special: the use of Dickens' actual lines, the songs, even the background themes, the voices--been watching it since the original broadcast. Have the Blu-Ray. Always glad to see another MMCC fan!

  2. Ditto Linda - LOL.

Magoo's special has a unique spot in history, as being the first televised Christmas special. It just celebrated 50 years in 2012 (I believe), and is a personal favorite as well.

  3. You have inspired me to get out my copy of Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol and watch it again! As I recall, it is a great story of redemption.

Also... Agree with your Christmas Movie suggestion... More about Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas!!!

  5. Tim, thanks for sharing your favorites. I haven't seen 'Frosty Returns' in 20+ years, so I can't recall if I liked it or not. But for me the most unfortunate thing is that is has supplanted 'Frosty's Winter Wonderland' as the "official" sequel to the original 1969 Frosty special.

  6. When I hear the song "Alone in the World" during Magoo's Christmas Carol, the tears begin to flow! I love this animated TV special too. Thanks for participating, Tim.
